Terms & Conditions
Service Agreement |
Customers are responsible for reading the terms and conditions set forth by DC Appliance Service when service is scheduled and prior to the appointment time scheduled with a technician. By scheduling a service through our website, or by confirming the time for a service appointment by email, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions as detailed below; your confirmation allows the technician to commence service.
Payment |
Payment is due at the time of service. A technician will provide an estimate for repairs above & beyond the service call fee and will need approval prior to making the repairs. If your check or credit card is not honored by the bank, there is a $35 returned check fee.
DC Appliance Service charges a service fee which will be charged at the time of service. The service fee includes inspection of the appliance to be repaired and analysis of the repair problem and provided an estimate for cost to repair.
Additional service fees will be charged for each appliance examined.
Warranty |
We guarantee our workmanship for up to 90 days from the original service date. For manufacturer’s defects, our labor is guaranteed for 30 days. This warranty does not include work beyond the scope of the original service. The warranty is not transferable, and the warranty is void if further attempts at repair or change of parts are made by someone other than a service provider authorized by DC Appliance Service; or, if the customer fails to properly maintain the appliance.
Parts have a manufacturer’s warranty which can vary but typically range from 30—90 days from the purchase date. There is no warranty for broken parts, parts no longer in use, chemical liquids, filters, access valves or any sort of wiring mechanisms.
Replacement Parts generally are readily available. However, special order items can require additional time and will require an advanced payment from the customer.
Waiver of Damages | Appliances with a Connected Water Line (washer, fridge, dishwasher, etc.) |
Please use an abundance of caution if you have been experiencing trouble with a machine attached to a water line. Any machine with a water line attached has an inherent risk associated with component failure which could include significant damage from water leaking. You promise not to hold DC Appliance Service, its principals and employees responsible or liable for any damages resulting from faulty appliances unless there is gross, clearly proven, and explicitly identifiable carelessness by the technician.
Waiver of Damages | Moving an Appliance |
Appliances must be accessible in order for a technician to provide service. This includes providing safe area of passage from the technician’s vehicle to the appliance and surrounding the appliance. The technician needs ample room for tools and movement in addition to access. The technician is not required to move the appliance; but, in some cases, the technician can help move the appliance. In providing this service as a favor, the technician and DC Appliance Service is not responsible for any damage that may occur in association with the movement of the appliance.
Waiver of Damages | Refrigeration Components |
Refrigeration components are complex like all mechanical equipment and are subject to failure without notice. Efforts to service/repair this equipment carries inherent risk of the components experiencing failure following the repair, sometimes shortly after they appear to be functioning properly. These failures can lead to inconveniences like food spoilage which DC Appliance Service is not liable. You agree that all such risks are your own, and you agree to hold DC Appliance Service and its employees harmless from any such harms related to these risks.
Waiver of Damages | Glass Cooktops |
In the case of repairs that must be accessed below a glass cooktop, there is an inherent risk of breakage involved with removing the glass cooktop. The technician will use an extremely high level of care, but you agree that DC Appliance Service and its employees will not be held liable for resulting damages. In the event the glass cooktop is attached with strong adhesive, the technician will not be able to remove it. You are responsible for having it removed in order for the technician to have access to components requiring service.
